NASCAR at Atlanta 2013: Race Weekend Schedule, Start Time, Qualifying, TV and Weather Info

With only two races left to the NASCAR Sprint Cup series Chase, the field is being set with only a few drivers who have yet to lock in their place in this year’s post season.

NASCAR heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia this weekend for both the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series. The Nationwide Great Clips / Grit Chips 300 will run on Saturday, August 31, while the AdvoCare 500 Sprint Cup race will be ran on Sunday, September 1. The Camping World Truck series will be racing in Canada at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario on Sunday prior to the Sprint Cup event.

The Truck race will be the tracks first ever series race.

Below you will find the race weekend schedule for Atlanta and Canada, including the race start time, qualifying and practice times, tv and listening info, and the weather at the tracks if you are planning to be in attendance.

LISTENING INFO:
Both the Nationwide and Sprint cup races are being covered by PRN, which means you can visit their website and listen for free. You can also listen with your mobile device. Camping World Truck race is being covered by MRN, and you can listen the same.

WEATHER:

ATLANTA: Hot hot hot! Is what the weather will be in Atlanta this weekend. Temperatures reaching into the high 80’s with a 30% chance of rain all day on both Friday and Saturday. The chance of rain increases on Sunday to 50%.

CANADA: Temperatures will be in the high 80’s all weekend with a small chance of rain on Friday. Chance of rain increases to 30% on Saturday, and back down to 10% on Sunday for Truck series race day.
