Cid Highwind

The name 'Cid' has been the common name for the rouge engineer in the Final Fantasy series. Cid's last name 'Highwind' is also the name of his airship. Shido is the translation of Cid. Cid had goals of becoming the first man in space. His dreams would have been fulfilled except he aborted the mission to save the life of Shera, his assistant, who had found an error in the machine. Cid believes that their was no error and blames his assistant for years. After Cid meets up with Cloud and company the group needs to go into space to save some huge materia. Again Cids assistant Shera finds a problem with an oxygen tank. Cid then has renewed respect for her. This shows that dispite his stubborness, he is forgiving.
