Walk-thru - Chocobos
This is an unofficial walk-thru of the game. Here you will find a way to defeat the game as well as some tips, cheats and other helpful matters that will help you as you play Final Fantasy VII.

Wonderful Chocobo: Running with its head down. Found in artic plains, along western coast of Continent.
Great Chocobo: Running with its head up. Found on same continent as Mideel, to the west of forest.
Good Chocobo: Walking with its head up. Found in Gold Saucer Area.
Above Average Chocobo: Standing Still. Found in same area as Great Chocobo.
Average Chocobo: Standing Still. Found in same area as Good Chocobo.
Poor Chocobo: Walking with its head down. Found in area of Chocobo Ranch.
Weak Chocobo: Walking with its head up. Found in same area as Wonderful Chocobo.

Once you are on Disc 2 go to the Chocobo Farm. Talk to the boy and buy the 6 stables in the barn. Each stable costs 10,000 Gil. Obtain 3 Carob Nuts and one Zeio Nut. Carob Nuts are obtained either from the Chocobo Sage or in the grassy area on the Northern Continent. Buying them is much more expensive and besides, you can get them for free. Walk around in the grassy area until you fight a red dinosaur. Steal from him and you'll get a Carob Nut. Do this 3 times. To get a Zeio Nut you must go to the small forest island in the north-east corner of the world map. Walk around in the forest until you fight a creature called a Goblin. Steal from him and you'll get a Zeio Nut.

Catch 4 chocobos. 2 Great chocobos and 2 Good Chocobos of the opposite sex. Race them all to S class and feed them Sylkis Greens until they are maxed out. Note: you do not have to feed them Syklis Greens but it greatly improves the chances of getting the chocobos you need. Before you do anything else save your game. Now you are ready to breed the Chocobos.

Breed the male Great Chocobo with the female Good Chocobo and give them a Carob Nut. Now save the game. Then breed the male Good Chocobo with the female Great Chocobo and give them a Carob Nut. You should have a Blue Chocobo and a Green Chocobo of opposite sex. If not load your game and do the last breeding over until you get one. Once you do get them you should save your game. Now race your Green and Blue Chocobos up to S class and if you want to, feed them Syklis Greens until they are maxed out. Then breed your Green and Blue Chocobos using your last Carob Nut. You should now have a Black Chocobo. Race it up to S class and feed it Syklis Greens until its maxed out (again its optional). Save your game. Now catch a Wonderful Chocobo of the opposite sex of your Black Chocobo. Race it up to S class and feed it Syklis Greens until its maxed out (optional). Save your game. Now breed your Black chocobo and your Wonderful Chocobo with a Zeio Nut. After the wait, you should have a Gold Chocobo!!! Now you really should save your game. This process take at least 2 hours or more.
