While Aeris does
have a pretty body and a lovely
pink dress she also is the
character most in touch with her
emotional side. This is often
seen by her eagerness and desire
to help provide for the others. A
prime example is her limit
breaks; they are often healing
and sealing spells.
Earisu is just the
translation of Aeris. 'Aeris' is
Latin for the word 'Wind'.The use
of 'Wind' in Aeris' name is just
another example of Nomura's love
for elemental words. Aeris' last
name 'Gainsborough' comes from a
famous English painter named
Thomas 'Gainsborough'. Aeris'
blood type was 'O' which is the
universal donor. Another
interesting fact is that Square
named the movie of Aeris' death
'EarithDD.mov'. One of the
writers mom died half way through
the making of Final Fantasy XI.
(III, US) He became bitter and
was mad at the world. He saw
killing the beautiful flower girl
as a way to share his anger with
the world.
