Lawson played the role of the rugged Marlboro man for years died Jan. 10 at his home in San Luis Obispo of respiratory failure due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, or COPD. His wife Susan Lawson confirmed this on Sunday.

From 1978-1981 Lawson appeared in advertising for Marlboro. He first began smoking at the age of 14. He later campaigned against smoking and was featured in spoofs of the Marlboro man encouraging people not to smoke.

Lawson was also survived by six children, 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Justin Bieber wasted no time leaving Miami following an arrest for DUI driving without a license, and resisting arrest. Now the pop star has taken his act south.

Bieber, 19, and his new lady Chantel Jeffries, 21, were spotted in Panama just two days after he was pulled over for drag racing in Miami. Jeffries was with Bieber at the time of his arrest and has not left his side.

A police press conference noted that Bieber had admitted to drinking and smoking marijuana prior to his arrest. He is still being investigated for the egging of a neighbor which caused $20,000 in damage.

At which point Hill was joined by DiCaprio in the most SNL of ways.

Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander and model Kate Upton are back together.

The couple was spotted on Saturday in Tampa, FL at Gasparilla, a notorious Tampa pirate-themed party.

Last year the two were reportedly dating and it appears they have gotten back together even as Upton’s handlers have tried to dey reports. Some wonder if the two ever were separated at all.

Good for them. Of course the bigger question for Verlander seems to be whether or not he will be ready for the start of the baseball season.

Verlander had a respectable 2013 season going 13-12 with a 3.46 ERA and 1.32 WHIP but those numbers were overshadowed by teammate Max Scherzer winning the AL Cy Young. Upton, well… she’s Kate Upton.

Bieber was driving a yellow Lamborghini that police saw drag racing a Ferrari in a residential area of Miami Beach.

The pop star showed “signs of impairment” and failed a field sobriety test according to spokesman Bobby Hernandez.

The Ferrari’s driver, whom Hernandez called “an associate of Bieber,” was also arrested on a drunken driving charge.

After his arrest, Bieber admitted to consuming alcohol and prescription medications and smoking marijuana, Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez said via NBC 6.

Bieber was going between 55-60 in a 30 mph area.

Bieber is still being investigated for an egg incident to his next door neighbor which caused $20,000 in damages.

Octomom is facing five years in the slammer.

The mother of 14 attempted to get wel-fare in the state of California in 2013 while failing to report income she had earned.

Natalie Denise Suleman, 38, rose to “fame” when she gave birth to octuplets in January 2009. Since then her life has been tabloid fodder.

According to TMZ the $30,000 that Suleman failed to report came from residuals from an adult video which she made in 2012 as well as earnings from stripper work.

Suleman can receive state aid if her income is below $119,000, TMZ reported that she made over $200,000 in 2012.
