Decker still leaning after Vegas

Mechanical issues with the No. 54 Toyota Tundra relegated Natalie Decker to a 25th place result.

It was not the race Decker and crew had hoped for after success in the early season race at Las Vegas. A 21st place qualifying spot was just the beginning of Decker’s issues.

“Our night didn’t go the way we had hoped. We had some motor issues late in the race that we weren’t able to fix. My DGR-Crosley team worked hard to diagnose the problem so that we could make more laps, but it was something that we couldn’t fix at the track. We had a good qualifying run and strong race until that point. We continue to learn a lot and get better each week. Just need a little luck on our side.”
