The first of two Gander RV Duels on Thursday evening ended with Kevin Harvick in victory lane.
William Byron began the event on the pole which will determine the odd place starters for Sunday’s running of the Daytona 500. A penalty during pit-stops would see Brad Keselowski go multiple laps down early. A caution would come out when Jimmie Johnson made contact with Kyle Busch’s No. 18 car spinning him. The event would stay green the rest of the way allowing Harvick to win uncontested.
Parker Kligerman earned a spot in the Daytona 500 by finishing ahead of Tyler Reddick and Ryan Truex. The latter will not race on Sunday.
The results of this event set the inside row for the Daytona 500.
