Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards and Martin Truex Jr all made their way into the second round via points.
Jamie McMurray, Jimmie Johnson, Paul Menard and Clint Bowyer all were bounced from title contention after the AAA 400.
