Kevin Harvick won Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Dover.
The driver of the No. 4 won the AAA 400 to earn entry into the Contender Round of the Chase.
Matt Kenseth started the race on the pole after qualifying was rained out but it was Kevin Harvick who made a name for himself quickly.
Jimmie Johnson’s hopes of going to the next round went away when he suffered a broken axel on lap 105. Johnson returned to the track 36 laps down and even winning at the track earlier this year would do him no favors at that point.
Making the second round in the Chase are
Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Jeff Gordon, Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Joey Logano, Brad Keslowski, Carl Edwards and Martin Truex Jr, Denny Hamlin and Matt Kenseth.
