Contact between Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski on a restart with two laps to go resulted in post race confrontations.
Hamlin and Keselowski made contact with one another on the cool down lap of Saturday night’s Bank of American 500. Upon entering pit road Keselowski made contact with the side of Hamlin’s teammate Matt Kenseth.
Keselowski’s No. 2 car also made contact with Tony Stewart. Upon being hit Stewart put his car in reverse and back into the front of Keselowski’s car destroying the front end.
While Hamlin attempted to get to Keselowski after the race he was unable to reach the 2012 Sprint Cup Series champion.
Kenseth, however, would get to Keselowski attacking him between the haulers as Keselowski attempted to make an exit. Kenseth can be seen landing a left hand in video played on ABC.
In a post race interview Kenseth said he attacked Keselowski due to the former champions actions on pit road. Kenseth had already removed his seat belts and said he did not appreciate Keselowski hitting him on pit road.
There is one race left in this round of the NASCAR Chase, Talladega.
