One of NASCAR’s longest running sponsorships will come to an end when the 2014 season wraps up at Miami Homestead Speedway according to the Sports Business Journal.

Home Depot which has long been on the No. 20 car at Joe Gibbs Racing is leaving the sport. During its time with JGR which dates back to 1999, Home Depot has appeared on the cars of Tony Stewart, Joey Logano and currently is a sponsor of Matt Kenseth.

Recently Home Depot had been selling off its sponsored races on the No. 20 car with Dollar General picking up 27 of the 38 races this season on Kenseth’s car.

How much of an impact the loss of Home Depot will have on JGR’s rumored plans to expand to four cars to accommodate Carl Edwards remains to be seen.
