Denny Hamlin wins Ford EcoBoost 400, full results from Homestead and Johnson’s sixth title

Matt Kenseth finished second to teammate Denny Hamlin on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished second in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings to Jimmie Johnson.

Despite a series high seven wins, Kenseth’s fate was sealed with a poor performance at Phoenix a week ago. Johnson entered Sunday’s race needing only a 23rd place finish, he finished ninth.

The title is the sixth for Johnson in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

Hamlin won the race scoring his first win of the season and ending what has been a dismal season on a positive note.
