NASCAR at Michigan 2013: Race Weekend Schedule, Start Time, Qualifying, TV and Weather Info

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, and Camping World Truck Series are headed back to the Irish Hills of Michigan this weekend. The Sprint Cup series is racing the Pure Michigan 400 on Sunday, while the Trucks will be running the National Guard 200 on Saturday.

The Nationwide Series will be racing in Lexington, Ohio at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200, marking the first time the series has raced at the track.

LAST TIME:

Cup Series:  Greg Biffle took the green flag during the Quicken Loans 400 that ran in June. It was his second straight Michigan win.

Truck Series: Nelson Piquet Jr clinched his first win in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and his first oval race win at national-level stock car racing with a victory at Michigan.

Mid-Ohio: It is the first time the Nationwide series is racing at this track.

WEATHER:

Michigan: Look for a beautiful weekend in Brooklyn, MI race fans! The weather will be perfect for enjoying both the Sprint Cup and Truck series races. On Friday for practice and qualifying, temperatures will be in the upper 70’s, with no chance of rain. Both Saturday and Sunday we see temperatures in the high 70’s, reaching 81 on Sunday. Chance of rain is minimal at 10%.

Mid Ohio: Temperatures will be in the mid to high 70’s on both Friday and Saturday, with only a 10% chance of rain.
