Joey Logano won the pole for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway.
Joining Logano on the front row of Sunday’s running of the Pure Michigan 400 will be Kurt Busch. Logano set a new track record, as has been the case for almost all of the races with the new Gen 6 car.
Greg Biffle who has won the last two races at MIS will start the race 16th. Failing to qualify for the race was Scott Riggs.

Michigan International Speedway is a 2-mile oval located in Brooklyn, MI. NASCAR has been visiting the track since 1969.
On Sunday August 18 the Sprint Cup drivers will run 200 laps equaling the 400 miles around the track. Coverage of the race will air on ESPN beginning at 1:00 pm EST with the green flag dropping at 1:16 pm EST.
