Browns suspend Josh Gordon for season finale

The lost 2014 season for Browns receiver Josh Gordon continues. A season after leading the NFL in receiving yards Gordon has made more headlines for being away from the team then he has when on the field.

Gordon will miss the Browns season finale against the Ravens after he violated team rules. He has been placed on the reserve/suspended list while Phil Bates has been promoted from the practice squad.

NFL.com’s Mike Silver reports that Gordon missed the Browns walk though on Saturday.

Gordon missed the first 11 weeks of the season following a league mandated suspension and looked confused and out of shape when he returned to the field.

The Browns were 7-4 with playoff hopes a month ago, now they are in danger of losing five straight to finish the season. Undrafted free agent rookie Connor Shaw is slated to start for the team on Sunday.

Gordon will finish the season with 24 receptions for 303 yards. He failed to find the endzone.
