Bubba Wallace challenged Jimmie Johnson for 10th place in the closing laps of Wednesday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Martinsville but had to settle for an 11th place finish.
For much of the night Wallace ran inside or just out of the top ten at a track he has two career wins in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series.
Wallace’s car carried the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter in it with interlocking hands on the hood and inside a peace symbol on the side panel.
