Daytona 500 to resume Monday

The 62nd running of the Daytona 500 will resume on Monday at 4 pm ET.

Sunday’s race which saw President Donald Trump give the command to start engines and take a lot around the 2.5 mile Daytona International Speedway lasted just 20 laps before rain came.

Pole sitter Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led all 20 laps prior to cars being pulled to pit lane with a red flag coming out.

Prior to calling for the race to resume on Monday, NASCAR ordered drivers to their cars before rain resumed.
