Joey Logano won the first Bluegreen Vacations Duel of Thursday night at Daytona International Speedway. The win means the driver of the No. 22 Ford will start third in the season opening Daytona 500.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. began the race on the pole thanks to his qualifying effort last Sunday and will be in that position again when the Daytona 500 sees the green flag this coming Sunday.
Originally to start just after 7 pm ET, the race was delayed over an hour after a shower hit the area.
With a crash in this duel race the No. 96 of Daniel Suarez will miss the Daytona 500. Also failing to make the race is Chad Finchum.
