Timmy Hill scores top five at Martinsville

Timmy Hill ran better in Saturday’s NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race than most would have expected scoring a top five finish.

Hill began the say 22nd but worked his way up through the field proving his finish of fifth was hardly from some late race fluke.

The top five is the first in the 26-year-old Hill’s career in NASCAR.

‪”Top 5 baby! What a fun day of racing! Can’t thank my crew chief Greg Ely enough for the hard work! I have a great group of friends that come support me on weekends that really make this possible. Great pit stops by the MBM Motorsports crew too!‬ ‪📸: Daylon Barr”‬

Hill will start 37th in the No. 77 Spire Motorsports car in the Cup Series race. Through 89 Cup starts, 183 Xfinity starts and 32 truck races, Hill now has six top-ten finishes while all driving for underfunded teams.
