Before there were #NuggsForCarter, there was a full racecar sponsored by Wendy’s driven by Stanton Barrett.
The driver and daredevil drove the No. 91 Wendy’s Chevrolet Lumina in five races between 1993 and 1995 with three races at Rockingham andtwo at Charlotte.
Barrett’s best finish in the Wendy’s Chevrolet was a 20th place run for his family owned team. Barrett recently competed in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Talladega finishing 35th.
Two years ago Leavine Family racing placed #NuggsForCarter on the back of their No. 95 car as a Carter Wilkerson’s love for Wendy’s nuggets became a quest for the a year supply of nuggets from Wendy’s and would become the most retweeted tweet in the history of twitter.
After Wilkerson topped 3.42 million tweets, Wendy’s eventually gave Wilkerson a year’s supply of nuggets and made a $100,000 donation to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
