Car chief of Ryan Newman ejected after failing inspection

On Friday NASCAR ejected the car chief of the No. 6 Ford of Roush Fenway Racing after the car failed pre-qualifying inspection twice at Auto Club Speedway.

Todd Brewer, car chief for Ryan Newman, was removed from the track for the rest of the race weekend.

Newman was 18th fastest in the first practice on Friday. He will start seventh in the Auto Club 400.
