Brittany Logano, the wife of NASCAR driver Joey Logano, gave birth to to the couples first child, a boy, on Thursday night.
Joey Logano made the announcement of the baby’s birth on Twitter on Friday but did not provide a name.
After they were married in 2014, Brittany was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, a common health problem caused by an imbalance of reproductive hormones that can lead to infertility. Despite some setbacks with vitro fertilization the couple announced the pregnancy in June.
In July, the Team Penske driver announced they were expecting a boy by doing burnouts that produced blue smoke.

Logano failed to make the Chase during the 2017 season finishing 17th in the overall standings. His lone win at Richmond in the Spring was later encumbered after violations that also resulted in crew chief, Todd Gordon, being fined fined $50,000 and suspended two Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races.
