Kyle Busch to miss Daytona 500 after suffering leg injury in Xfinity Series race

The carnage of the NASCAR season continued on Saturday. Kyle Busch suffered a leg injury in a ten car accident that occurred with nine laps to go in the Xfinity Series race.

The wreck occurred with the No. 20 of Erik Jones turning towards the infield on the tri-oval before snapping back up the track collecting Busch’s No. 54 machine and sending it to the infield wall head on.

Busch was placed on a stretcher as medics attempted to stabilize his right leg.

Ryan Reed went on to win the race. Kyle Busch will join his brother Kurt Busch as out for the Daytona 500. Kurt Busch was suspended indefinitely on Friday afternoon following a Delaware court indicating that he likely committed domestic abuse against former girlfriend Patricia Driscoll.
