Bubba Wallace will not be driving for Joe Gibbs Racing anymore. The 21-year-old driver asked for and was granted his released from JGR.

Wallace won four races in the Camping World Truck Series driving a Kyle Bush Motorsport’s truck last season finishing third in the points. He also ran two Nationwide Series – now Xfinity Series – races for JGR.

Owner Joe Gibbs said earlier this offseason that he had a problem with the number of drivers signed to JGR adding that they had failed to secure him full time sponsorship.

Recent rumblings have suggested that Wallace could be headed to Roush Fenway Racing.

Currently RFR has three drivers in the Xfinity Series with Elliott Sadler, Chris Buescher and Ryan Reed all signed. Last year the team fielded three cars in the series but Trevor Bayne is now headed to the Sprint Cup Series to drive the No. 6 Ford Fusion.
