When Martin Truex Jr. gets behind the wheel of his No. 78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet SS this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway he may find himself a bit confused.

Gone is the cars familiar flat black paint scheme. Replacing it are the shades of orange from World Vision.

World Vision will be on the No. 78 car for the first of two races with a messages to NASCAR fans that ‘Clean Water Changes Lives.’ The goal of World Vision is to raise money for clean water for children in Zambia. Fans can donate $10 by texting WATER to 777444.

“As a driver, staying hydrated is a top priority, but I’m blessed to never have to think about finding clean water,” said Truex. “Giving just $10 to provide clean water is an amazing way to change a child’s life.”

World Vision delivers water to a person every 30 seconds but the non-profit wants to extend its reach beyond the 2.3 million people it has helped since 2011.

“Furniture Row Racing is partnering with World Vision because they’ve seen first-hand the work that we do around the globe and in the United States,” said Morris Franklin, Director of Sports & Entertainment at World Vision U.S. “We’re so fortunate to have their long-term support as we tackle the root causes of poverty and injustice, and share our work with NASCAR fans.”
