The Wood Brothers will hold a teleconference on Thursday to talk about the 2015 plans for the No. 21 Sprint Cup Series car.
In recent seasons Trevor Bayne has driven the teams Ford Fusion part-time but he will move to a full-time seat in the No. 6 car at Roush Fenway Racing leaving open his spot at the Wood brothers.
The expectation has been that Ryan Blaney will become the driver of No. 21 car part-time next season however Penske Racing has not confirmed anything.
“Ryan Blaney continues to do a great job with our organization and we have a plan for his progression within Team Penske,” said. “While we have had some discussions with our partners at Ford, nothing has been finalized.” Team Penske Vice President Jonathan Gibson said nearly two weeks ago.
Blaney made his Sprint Cup Series debut earlier this season at Kansas posting a 27th place finish.
