With Trevor Bayne moving to the No. 6 car at the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series full-time in 2015 the search is on for a new driver for the Wood Brothers No. 21 car.

Bayne had been running a part-time schedule with the Wood Brothers finding victory lane in the 2011 Daytona 500.

Now the team is looking for options for 2015 which is expected to consist of another part-time schedule.

Fox Sports’ Bob Dillner says that one option for the team is Sam Hornish Jr. The former IndyCar champion is currently a part-time driver for Joe Gibbs Racing on the Nationwide Series side.

Dillner says that negotiations are in progress. While Hornish has never won in the Cup Series he has won three Nationwide Series races including at Iowa this year.
