Phoenix Racing names Justin Allgaier driver of No. 51 Chevy

Justin Allgaier has been named to drive the No . 51 Phoenix Racing BRANDT Chevrolet SS during the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

Allgaier, 27, finished fifth in the Nationwide Series point standings in 2013 and will be joined by teammate Bobby Labonte, who will be driving the No. 52 for a limited amount of races this season, including the Daytona 500.

“This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I intend to make the most of it,” Allgaier said, “I am very grateful to Harry Scott and BRANDT for having faith in me to compete against the best drivers in the world.”

BRANDT will be primary sponsor on the car for 21 races. Joining BRANDT on the car are The National FFA, TradeMark Nitrogen, Nutrients for Life Foundation, Precision Tank and Grigg Brothers.

Allgaier will be a candidate for the NASCAR Rookie of the Year award.
