Ryan Newman will lead a field of 43 cars to the green flag on Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. For Newman it was his 50th career pole and set a track record at the famed Brickyard.
The Crown Royal 400 will be held at the 2.5 mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Drivers will complete 160 laps around the flat track located in Speedway, IN.
Coverage of the race will air on ESPN beginning at 1:00 pm ET with the green flag scheduled to drop at 1:19 pm ET. Calling the race will be Allen Bestwick, Dale Jarrett, and Andy Petree. Pit road activities will be covered by Dave Burns, Jamie Little, Dr. Jerry Punch, and Vince Welch while Nicole Briscoe, Brad Daugherty, Rusty Wallace, and Ray Evernham will all be in the ESPN Studio.
A total of 45 cars attempted to qualify for the race. Mike Bliss and Scott Speed failed to make the field for Sunday’s race.
Last year Jimmie Johnson dominated this event for his fourth win at Indy.
