The IndyCar series ran back to back races at Detroit this weekend. For A.J. Allmendinger the results of race two were much the same as race one.

Allmendinger started 13th in race 1 on Saturday but wrecked on the first lap and earned a 25th place finish. Mike Conway would go on to win the first race.

He would start 12th on Sunday but also saw his day end on the first lap when he crashed into the wall on the exit of turn two.

This weekend was quite different then Allmendinger’s previous race with Penske Racing which resulted in a seventh place run at Indianapolis.
