Michael Annett will not be in a race car for an indefinite time period. Annett suffered a fracture and dislocated sternum during the NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway. Annett will be undergoing surgery for his injuries in Charlotte, NC.

The injury happened when Annett was involved in the first of two big wrecks during the DRIVE4COPD300.

Aric Almirola will take over driving the No.43 Ford Mustang this weekend at Phoenix International Raceway as the team evaluates its options moving forward.

Annett was taken to Halifax Medical Center for treatment following the accident and was released Sunday morning.
