The NASCAR Nationwide Series kicks off with its season opener on Saturday with the Drive4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

The race features many veteran drivers in Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kasey Kahne and Kurt Busch.

The race is 120 laps, 300 miles around Daytona’s 2.5 mile track. The race will be broadcast live on ESPN, they will start airing their coverage at 12:00 p.m EST.  The races green flag start time is scheduled for 1:34 p.m EST.

Trevor Bayne captured the pole for the race with a lap speed of 177.162 during Friday’s qualifying run. Sam Hornish Jr. will start alongside him.

The weather will be nice in Daytona today, party cloudy, 84 degrees with only a 10% chance of rain.

Last year, James Buescher won his first ever Nationwide race by avoiding cars on a last lap crash. Buescher will not be in the race today.
