The No. 5 Ford truck of Wauters Motorsports ran blank for much of the 2012 season. That will not be the case at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Daytona on Friday night. Applebee’s and Grand Touring Vodka will adorn the truck driven by Tim George Jr.
The deal fell into place rather quick for the team after partnering with the 1985 Firecracker 400 winner Greg Sacks. Sacks is the owner of GTV and he brought along business partner Byran “Birdman” Williams. Williams is the CEO of Cash Money Records.
“To have a partnership with Greg Sacks is sweet,” said Wauters. “Greg is one of the best superspeedway drivers of all time. He suggested we put Tim in the truck. We’ll have a great Ford ready for Tim and our plan is to score big with the GTV Ford powered by Applebee’s.”
The NEXTERA Energy Resources 250 NCWTS race will be televised live on SPEED beginning at 9:00 PM EST.
