John Wes Townly won the ARCA Series Lucas Oil 200 race at Daytona thanks to a atypical mistake by the team of Bobby Gerhart.

Gerhart set out to win his ninth Daytona ARCA race Saturday night. It appeared that he was set to do that until with less then ten laps to go he ran out of fuel. Jon Wes Townley bumped the back of Gerhart’s No. 5 as Gerhart slowed.

Townley, who won the pole for the event, would go on to win the event finishing ahead of Kyle Larson.
