Kenseth gets sponsorship for California

It’s almost hard to believe that Matt Kenseth was entered into Sunday’s race with Roush Fenway Racing listed as the sponsor of the #17 car. Kenseth had just finished second to Brad Keselowski at Bristol and won the Daytona 500 earlier this year.

Still sponsorship has been hard to come by for the former series champion who finished 4th in the standings last season and scored three wins.

Fortunately Kenseth has kept his head up and the folks at Ford will brand his car with Ford Eco Boost this weekend at Auto Club Speedway, a track he has been quite successful at in his career. Kenseth as three Sprint Cup victories at the California track.

Kenseth is not alone in search of sponsorship as fellow Roush Fenway driver Trevor Bayne is also looking for sponsorship and may not run the upcoming Nationwide race if it can not be found.
