Add Danica Patrick to the list of names who will drive in the dirt this June at Eldora Speedway. Patrick will join other racing stars in the annual “Prelude to the Dream” race which is held at Eldora Speedway. The track is owned by her Sprint Cup owner Tony Stewart.
This years running of the Prelude to the Dream will be held on June 6th. It will be the 8th running of the event. The event is a precursor to the Dream which is a large late model competition held later in the week at the track.
Danica says that the race will be just the second time she has competed on dirt. So far others who have been confirmed for the event are Ryan Newman, Kenny Wallace, Bobby Labonte, Ty Dillon and Aric Almirola. Last seasons event was won by Clint Bowyer.
This season Danica has made the transition to NASCAR away from Indy racing. Patrick is running the full Nationwide schedule and ten races at the Sprint Cup level.
