J.R. Fitzpatrick leaves Go Canada Racing

Steve Meehan’s idea of a Canadien race team has hit a snag. Driver J.R. Fitzpatrick has ended his association with the GO Canada Racing Team. His time in the #67 Nationwide outfit is over but he vows to return to the series before the season ends.

More of a road course ringer the 23 year old driver had notched two top-10’s this year at Elkhart Lake and Montreal. The latter was a fifth place run.

Fitzpatrick says he will make some big announcements in the upcoming weeks about his racing career.

He is also racing full time in NASCAR’s Canadian Tire series, notching 7 top-10’s in 9 starts.
