It is here. The 98th running of the Indianapolis 500 will take place.
Dubbed “The greatest spectacle in racing” the Indianapolis 500 is the biggest race of the IndyCar season. For that reason 33 drivers will attempt to find victory line at the Brickyard and write their name into the history books with a jug of milk.
The Indy 500 will consist of 200 laps around the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Coverage of the Indy 500 will get underway on ABC at 11:00 am ET. From that time there will be intros, a flyover and the playing of the national anthem.
Sunday’s race is scheduled to go green at 12:12 pm ET.
