Pedroia indicating he will play in 2020

Dustin Pedroia has played in just nine games over the last two seasons. Speaking throughout the 2019 season Pedora appeared as a man who may never suit up for the Red Sox again.

“Every indication I’ve gotten is he’s feeling good and intending on playing,” Red Sox chief baseball officer Chaim Bloom said Monday at the GM Meetings.

Bloom and other members of the Red Sox front office are planning to meet with Pedroia during the meetings as the second baseman lives thetr.

Pedroia initially underwent a cartilage restoration procedure in October of 2017. He also had scar tissue removed during an arthroscopic surgery in late July 2018 and then had a joint preservation procedure on his knee in early August 2019.
