Many people were taken aback by the living conditions of the Canadian hockey players in Sochi. Some of the rooms will house three players and there have been concerns over the drinking water.

One NHL player who is not bothered by the conditions is Sidney Crosby.

“Pretty similar to Vancouver,” he said to the Pittsburgh Tribune. “Not quite that tight, but we had three guys in a room, and I think (Boston Bruins star Patrice) Bergeron was sleeping in a closet.”

Crosby says the number of athletes in Sochi can make conditions difficult.

“To house that many athletes in that small a (town), it’s probably what you’re going to see.”
