Former Blackhawks coach Quenneville to meet with Bettman

Joel Quenneville will meet with NHL commissioner Gary Bettman following the playoffs according to TSN.

Quenneville may be nearing a return to the league and a meeting with Bettman is a requirement.

The former coach of the Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers has been linked to the New York Rangers position.

Quenneville resigned as the coach of the Panthers in 2021 after it was revealed that the Blackhawks had mishandled allegations that a player was sexually abused by an assistant coach in 2010 during the team’s run to the Stanley Cup that season.

With 969 victories, Quenneville trails only the 1,244 amassed by Scotty Bowman.
