Premium Motorsports buys Tommy Baldwin Racing’s No. 36 team

Tommy Baldwin Racing will no longer field the No. 36 car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

While Baldwin had went from a one-car start and park operation to a two-car operation that attempted to run the full race the team is now cutting back on its commitments to racing. Baldwin’s team will focus on the No. 7 car full time this season after selling the rights of the No. 36 team to Premium Motorsports and Jay Robinson.

The No. 36 car will change to the No. 62 car while still running Chevrolets. Sponsorship and a driver announcement will come later. (Feel free to speculate the driver.)

Premium Motorsports will also field the No. 66 Toyota for Mike Wallace in the Daytona 500.
