The Minnesota Twins will be without center fielder Byron Buxton for about a month says manager Paul Molitor.
Molitor told 96.3 FM in Minneapolis that the thumb injury Buxton suffered on Tuesday while trying to steal a base will keep the highly prized prospect out of action.
Danny Santana figures to move back into the everyday role at center for the Twins. Though his first 11 games of big league action, Buxton was hitting .189/.231/.270 with fie runs scored and one stolen base in three attempts.
