Will Power’s Saturday did not go to plan. Early in the practice session Power was forced off the track by Romain Grosjean to which he called the French driver “a piece of crap” who needed a “punch in the face.”
Later Power was wrecked by the unexpected turn of Scott Dixon who was slow after a spin in Canada corner. The crash heavily damaged Power’s car.
To make matters worse Power had a poor qualifying run and will start 22nd for the Sonsio Grand Prix at Road America, just ahead of Dixon (23rd) and a few positions behind Grosjean (19th). Power went off the track during his qualifying run and when asked about it he said some less than flattering comments about the 14-turn newly paved track.
“This track’s terrible, when you go off. They do a terrible job here. They need to pick up their game. Anywhere you go off, you almost break your back every time. I’ve done it a couple of times this weekend. “They need a kick in the butt, this place.”

Of course things did not stop there with Marshall Pruett detailing a story of a poop truck being left at the motorhome of Power as a response from Mike Kertscher. The truck eventually found it’s way to Scott Dixon’s motorhome.
Call it a sh*t track, receive a sh*t truck.

Prior to Sunday’s warmup session Power said given the opportunity he had to drive the truck.
