Tim Tebow voted most overrated player in the NFL

Tim Tebow was voted the most overrated player in the National Football League based on a Sports Illustrated poll released earlier this week. Of the 180 players who participated in the survey 34 percent found Tebow to be the most overrated.

Ironically Tebow’s teammate, the Jets starting quarterback, Mark Sanchez finished tied for second in the poll with 8 percent of the vote. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo also received 8 percent of the vote. Michael Vick  finished fourth in the poll receiving 4 percent of the vote while Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis finished fifth with 3 percent of the vote.

Prior to the season starting Tebow was ranked as one of the top 100 players in the NFL.

Tebow currently is the backup quarterback for the Jets. He has been on the field for 55 snaps this season and his biggest contribution this season has come in the form of fake punts in which he has run for two first downs and thrown for another.
