Earlier today I took the time to write a piece over at Braving Baseball wondering if it would have been better if the Braves had played .500 ball or season or if it was better that the team made a late playoff push.
At the break the Braves were 43-45 but went 45-25 over their next 70 games to move within 2 games of the Colorado Rockies for the NL Wild Card. That would mean the Braves had a .642 winning percentage, and while it’s easier to put up those types of numbers for half of a season it’s worth nothing that only the New York Yankees who have a .642 winning percentage can claim those type of numbers for the season.
