Another Lowe point on the year

Derek Lowe again struggled tonight, dropping him to 3-3 with a 6.84 ERA over his final 9 starts in the 2009 campaign.

The struggles of Lowe is something that has really got me frustrated this season. While he did rack of 15 victories, it was the fact that more often then not the opposition took advantage of him.

Derek Lowe was again hammered in his final start of the 2009 season. Lowe who has $45 million and three years

left on his contract with the Braves finishes with a 15-10 record and a eye popping 4.67.

As the Braves dropped their fourth game in a row, Lowe allowed six runs –five earned– and eight hits in 4 2/3 innings fo work.

Considering his contract going forward it’s clear Lowe will be in the rotation for 2010. Just whether he will be the ace or be paid as the ace remains to be seen.
