Lindsey Jacobellis fails to medal in Women’s Snowboard Cross, Full Olympic Results

Lindsey Jacobellis of the United States entered as the favorite for gold in Women’s Snowboard Cross a the 2014 Winter Olympics but in the end the 28-year-old was left off the podium.

Jacobellis fell by herself during her semi-finale race and was left to finish sixth overall after finishing first in the small final.

The gold medal went to Eva Samkova of the Czech Republic who took the lead early in the final and never looked back. Earlier this year in the X-Games she finished second to Jacobellis.

Canada’s Dominique Maltais took the silver with France’s Chloe Trespeuch finishing with the bronze.

Faye Gulini of the United States fnished fourth overall just missing the podium.
