Dara Howell was one of the favorites entering the Ladie’s Ski Slopestyle event at the 2014 Winter Olympics. On Tuesday the 19-year-old Canadian claimed the gold medal in the event.
Devin Logan of the United States was the country’s best hope for a medal and she cashed in with a silver medal performance. Kim Lamarre of Canada finished with the bronze medal.

Kaya Turski of Canada was expected to contend for a medal with many predicting gold but the 25-year-old who won the 2014 X Games gold in the event did not qualify for the final round.
