Charles Hamelin of Canada claimed the gold medal in the Men’s 1500 m short track event in the 2014 Winter Olympics from Sochi. Hamelin, 29, won gold medals in the 500 m and 5000 m relay during the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.

Tianya Han of China and Victor An of Russia claimed the silver and bronze while USA hopeful J.R. Celski finished fourth just out of the reach of a medal.
